Akamba FM Live

Akamba FM profile

Akamba FM is a commercial radio station aimed at Kamba-speaking listeners. Its FM licence is held by Homemedia Communications Limited, according to the Communications Authority of Kenya's June 2026 register. The licence was issued on 9 May 2023 for ten years, and the licensee's postal address is in Machakos.

That address places the licence holder in Ukambani, the station's natural audience base. Our source listing gives a Nairobi frequency of 106.5 FM, but we could not confirm it from a reliable source. Nor could we confirm the station's launch date, presenters or flagship programmes.

Kamba-language radio is a crowded field that includes Royal Media's Musyi FM and KBC's Mwatu FM. Akamba FM is among the newer licensed entrants. We will expand this profile once its programming and on-air team are verified.
