Radio Maisha Live

Radio Maisha profile

Radio Maisha is a Swahili-language station owned by the Standard Group. It broadcasts in Nairobi on 102.7 FM. The group, which also publishes The Standard and runs KTN, operates it with sister stations Spice FM and Berur FM from its headquarters at the Standard Group Centre on Mombasa Road, Nairobi. The Standard has reported that within six years of launch Radio Maisha ranked among Kenya's most listened-to stations.

Comedian Francis Munyao, known as MCA Tricky, started his radio career here in October 2018, co-hosting the breakfast show Maisha Asubuhi with Billy Miya. He moved to Milele FM in 2020.

Veteran presenter Nick Odhiambo joined in May 2017 after a decade at Classic 105 and hosted a rhumba show for about four years. He said he had never expected to switch to Swahili radio. Nairobi News reported that Titi Nagwalla, formerly of Milele FM, took over the slot with a rebranded show, #RhumbaRepublik. Line-ups have changed several times in recent years, so check current presenters with the station.
